Just heard that Jason Calacanis decided to quit blogging. Just gonna do an email list. And he's only going to have up to 750 people on the list.
Kind of a shame, maybe. Seems like blogging is starting to go the way of BBSing. The people who know about it, do it. The things get more and more elaborate. Then folks start thinking they should be able to make money off it. Then the audience moves off to something else, and the big, elaborate constructions crumble into dust.
Dunno about going back to an email list newsletter, but that does make a certain amount of sense. I prefer email. I still figure one ought to be able to interact with messages offline.
I wonder, is blogging over?
A person of integrity expects to be believed. And when they are not, they let time prove them right. -- -- -- "Whatever autism is, it is not a unique product of modern civilization. It is a strange gift from our deep past, passed down through millions of years of evolution." Steve Silberman - Neurotribes
